#SCGS Shisanyama Chicken Burger

Ingredients
2 Chicken breasts
20 ml (1½ Tbsp) Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™
30 ml (2 Tbsp) BBQ sauce
2 Burger buns
15 ml (1 Tbsp) Burger sauce
250 ml (1 cup) cooked Chakalaka
2 Cheddar slices
2 handfuls cooked chips (fries)
15 ml (1 Tbsp) tomato sauce
Method
Butterfly the chicken breasts by slicing them open horizontally. Season all sides generously with the Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™.
Braai over mild heat for about 4 minutes per side. Baste the chicken with the BBQ sauce on both sides, then braai for an additional 2 minutes per side.
Remove from the heat and cut into cubes or slices.
Slice the burger buns in half. Lightly toast them on the braai until golden and slightly crisp.
Spread the burger sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Spoon the chakalaka on top, layered with the grilled chicken pieces. Place a slice of Cheddar cheese on the chicken. Top with a handful of chips and a drizzle of tomato sauce.
Close with the top of each bun.
Tip: You can substitute the chicken with any braai meat you prefer: beef, lamb or boerewors all work beautifully!
