#SCGS Savoury Pap & Pilchards

Ingredients – Pap

1 L boiling water
2 cups Peas, frozen
1 cup Sweet corn
Handful Spring onions, finely chopped
3 tsp Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™
2 cups Maize meal
80 g butter

Method – Pap

Bring the water to the boil. Add peas, sweetcorn, spring onion and Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™. Using a whisk, gradually pour maize in water, until it’s a thick consistency. Lower the heat and stir every 4 minutes. Add the butter and cook for 15 minutes.

Ingredients – Pilchards

2 tsp Oil
1 Onion, chopped
2 Garlic cloves, minced
60 g Tomato paste
1 tsp Curry powder
410 g Pilchards
15 ml Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™

Method – Pilchards

Add oil to a saucepan and saute the onion and garlic. Add the tomoato paste, curry powder and then the pilchards. Stir the mixture, then season with Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™. Let it cook for 5-7 minutes and serve with savoury pap.
