#SCGS Samp & Lamb Bones
Ingredients
2 cups Samp and beans
4 cups Water
2 Tbsp Oil
1 kg meaty Lamb bones
1 large Onion, chopped
1 tsp crushed Garlic
2 Tbsp Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™
½ tsp Turmeric
1 Tomato, sliced
1 large Potato, peeled and cubed
1 Beef stock cube
Fresh thyme
2 Bay leaves
Method
Place the samp and beans in a large pot with 3 cups of water. Boil until cooked.
In another pot, heat the oil and brown the bones.
Add onion, garlic, Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™, turmeric and sauté for 2 minutes.
Add the tomato, potatoes and stock cube.
Add 1 cup water, thyme and bay leaves.
Cook for about 20 minutes on a low heat, then add the cooked samp and beans.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve warm.
