#SCGS Ostrich Kebabs
Ingredients
Wooden skewers
500 g Ostrich meat, cubed
1 tsp Black pepper
1 Tbsp Paprika
2 Tbsp Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™
2 Tbsp Soy sauce
2 Tbsp Barbecue sauce
Method
Boil the wooden skewers and set aside. In a bowl, season ostrich cubes with black pepper, paprika and Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™. Add soy sauce and mix. Thread ostrich cubes onto the skewers, alternating cubes with pieces of red and yellow pepper. You can cook the kebabs under the grill, over the coals, or in an air fryer. If you are using the latter, cook the kebabs at 180°C for 10 minutes. Then lightly brush the kebabs with barbecue sauce and cook for a further minute at the same temperature. If you’re using the oven, baste the kebabs just before they are fully cooked. If you’re cooking over the coals, baste regularly while braaing.
TIP: Serve as a festive starter or quick snack.
