#SCGS Beef Fillet in Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients
500 g Beef fillet
3 Tbsp Oil
2 Tbsp Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™️
Pepper for seasoning
Cling Wrap
Cooking foil
250 g Mushrooms, sliced
4 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
5 sprigs Fresh thyme
250 ml Cream
Method
Place whole fillet in a bowl. Add oil, Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™️ and pepper and rub the fillet with the seasoning. Cover with Cling Wrap and refrigerate overnight. Heat a large frying pan till very hot. Place fillet in pan and sear all sides until browned, lower heat and cook to your preference. Remove from the pan, cover with cooking foil and allow to rest before slicing. In the same pan, add a dash of oil and fry mushrooms until golden brown. Add garlic and thyme. Sauté for few seconds and add cream. Allow to simmer. Slice fillet into pieces of medium thickness. Place slices into the sauce and gently coat before serving.
TIP: Can be served with Basmati rice.
